Alice in Differentiable Wonderland

I have recently read (all of) Simone Scardapane’s excellent book Alice in Differentiable Wonderland. It is a truly remarkable book. In a field that moves so fast, deep, fresh, clearly presented ideas are the only currency that stays relevant and makes you want to keep a book on your bookshelf for a long time. The book is authoritative yet accessible and full of interesting perspectives, striking a good balance between mathematics, practical aspects, and modern research. It is also beautifully formatted. I hope this is the first in a series of several volumes, as the subtitle suggests.

(My copy is already a little worn out, having been my traveling companion for several weeks.)
